Dudhsagar Falls literally translates to “sea of milk” owing to its milky white color. Amidst the Mollem National Park or rather the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary you will find the majestic and stunningly flowing Dudhsagar Falls. A spectacular view for the domestic and foreign tourists is the Mandovi River spouting down from the steep side of the mountain from over 1017 feet. The Mandovi River originates on the Deccan Plateau in Karnataka and finds its way through the Western Ghats.
Located on the island of Chorao in the Mandovi river, the sanctuary is accessible by a ferry which starts at the Ribandar ferry wharf, about 15mins drive from Panaji, the capital city of Goa.
The Butterfly Beach is called so because the shape of the valley in which it is ensconced is similar to that of a Butterfly. The Butterfly Beach is located between the beautiful Palolem and Agonda beaches of South Goa.
Named after its sublime shape, the Heart Shaped Lake is an overwhelming spot worth taking the risk. While enjoying the beautiful lake, the visitors can also experience the splendid sunset just opposite the lake.
These natural havens are extremely popular with animal, bird and nature lovers alike. The second largest, and most accessible (in all seasons) among these is the Cotigao wildlife sanctuary which lies in the south of Goa, on the Goa-Karnataka border.
Palolem Beach is probably one of the most gorgeous beaches of South Goa. The tranquil surroundings makes an ecstatic setting for indulging in an occasional stroll or just appreciate this amazing landscape.
The fort of Cabo de Rama or Kalhad fort was built by Shivaji, a Hindu King of Maratha in 1679.There is the small 500-meter-long Cabo de Rama beach just below the fort. It was constructed by the local Soonda rulers, who ruled from here.
The beautiful Kesarval falls have a lot more going for them than the magnificence and awe of just another waterfall. The waterfall is at its zenith during the monsoon season when the abundant rains fill it to its gushing peak and it overflows into the lake below.
The waterfall is located in the middle of a dense forest. It is an exceptionally beautiful sight to come across, as the waterfall sharply cuts its way through dense forests & gently empties into the lake at the bottom.
In addition to the plethora of animal and plant life that one can experience within the sanctuary, there are also a number of other attractions including a zoo, deer safari park, botanical gardens and Nature Interpretation Centre.
Goa harbours some of the most exciting nightlife options in the country. It livens up with dizzy neon lights, great music, delectable food that makes for the perfect ambience you'd wish for.
The cool wind and warm summer sun help you alleviate the anxieties brought by the everyday routine at Agonda Beach. This shoreline is long and desolate, bordered with palms and casuarinas and overwhelmed by an expansive slope toward the south.
